Netscape Messenger 4.6 Setup Information:

When your first Start Communicator, you will be presented with the Setup Wizard.


Click "Next" in the email and newsgroup setup box.


Enter your name and email address in the appropriate boxes, then type smtp.E-List.Net in the "Outgoing mail [smtp] server" field, and Click Next.


Now enter your E-List.Net username (example : username@E-List.Net) under "Mail server user name"- making sure that there are no spaces and all letters are lowercase. Type pop3.fastdial.net under "Incoming mail server". Be sure that under "Mail server type" POP3 is checked, and then Click Next.


Reconfigure e-Mail Settings


Open Netscape, Click on "edit" menu and select "preferences".


Under "category" click on the "+" sign next to "mail and newsgroups" heading.


Click on "identity" category. Enter your name and email address in the corresponding boxes.


Click on "Mail Servers" category. Next to "Outgoing Mail Server" enter smtp.E-List.Net. Click on "add" button (this is for Netscape 4.5 or later, for Netscape 4.0 there is no add button, you merely enter all of the server settings. So enter the outgoing mail server [smtp.E-List.Net] and continue if you are using 4.0.


Next to "Server Type" make sure that POP3 is selected. Next to "Server Name" enter pop.E-List.Net. Next to User Name enter your E-List username (example : username ) Click OK.


Adding your Second e-Mail Account:

The operation is similar to reconfiguring as above, BUT you must start by going to the start menu, programs, Netscape Communicator, Utilities, and use the Profile Manager to add, delete or change additional users. reconfiguring as above, BUT you must start by going to the start menu, programs, Netscape Communicator, Utilities, and use the Profile Manager to add, delete or change additional users.
