By File transfer, we mean
the copying of any computer file (a software program, a
document, a system file, etc.) from one computer to
another.

|
Computer files can be transferred between computers
in a number of ways: They can be saved to a floppy disk
or CD-ROM, which can then be inserted into another
computer. They can be transferred over a local area
network ( LAN ) or home network.
But in this tutorial we will focus on the most common
methods of using the Internet to transfer files:
Web Downloads, Email Attachments, and File Transfer
Protocol (FTP).
