Building Your Web Site

Viewing Your Web Page

Once you've created and published your pages, anybody on the Internet can see them using a Web browser. The address, or URL, of your web site depends on your domain name.

Your unique domain address for your web site will be something like www.yourorganization.net, you need to make sure that the very first page you create or that you want people to view is called index.html.

By naming your first file index.html you are telling the server that this is your home page and this is the page a visitor is to be displayed when they type in your domain name in the web browser.
